Dancing in the rain

I’m not a hopeless romantic,

I’m not a cliche lover.

But,

Maybe perhaps,

Stereotypes do exist,

For a reason.

wanting to stand out,

Yet

Dying to fit in.

Forgetting to discover ..

What’s really hiding within!

But,

All that’s good for poetry,

Reality got most of us,

Following the gentry!

So, I ask

Why is that so wrong?

I’m not a lost soul,

Nor wishing to take

“The Road not taken”

Yes, I like the crowd and its direction,

Is that really too bizarre a reason?

I’m not alone,

Nor demanding attention.

So why do people still stare,

While I dance,

Undettered,

In the rain!

So I say again-

I’m not a hopeless romantic,

I’m not a cliche lover.

I’m not searching for that Mr Right,

But,

Is is too wrong,

To just want someone,

Someone not afraid,

Of dancing in the rain,

Even in the darkest of storms,

Because,

The way I see it,

That’s when the rainbow is

Just about to form!

Signing off,

The Capricorn with a Twist
